Star Screen Awards (2008 – 2009) Worst Awards Ever

Usually these star-studded award nights are quite entertaining but this one was just a total waste of time. Pathetically hosted by Sajid & Farah Khan, who deserve all the flack that they received from ace director Ashutosh Gowariker for crossing the line by making excessive fun of some of the stars. SRK and Saif are the best at cracking jokes on fellow celebrities. We’ll just have to wait till the Film Fare Awards for that.
Oh and the highly anticipated performances by 5 divas of Bollywood – CRAP! bad performances low on energy. Can someone please tell Katrina Kaif to just look pretty and stop dancing. And why can’t people just except the damn awards given to them. I’m a big Akshay Kumar fan so I’ll stop right here.
We are going on and on about the achievements of Indian Cinema, from Oscar nominations to Golden Globe wins but I fail to understand why do we have to use the theme of Superman before welcoming guests on stage in several award functions . Is there no good enough Hindi movie theme? I was about to suggest the theme of Krish but I just realised that the whole bloody movie has been inspired by Superman.
In a year in which Bolloywood has apparently lost over $400m, all I can say is Good Luck!
P.S. An Oscar for anyone who can convince Katrina Kaif to stop dancing.
